Seventh blog ☆ ROSIE'S CAFE [ロージーズカフェ]

Today, I will introduce 'ROSIE'S CAFE'. This cafe is located in the Lazona Kawasaki Plaza. When I go to Lazona with my friends, it's one of my favorite cafes. You can eat a Dutch Baby in this cafe. Dutch Baby is a German style pancake. It has a soft and chewy texture. It's delicious and different from the pancakes I've eaten before.

Pancakes are very popular among young people these days, but Dutch Baby is not well known. It is a food where the dough is poured into an iron plate and put into an oven.


In this cafe's system, you can take a seat freely and you order and pay at the counter. After you order, the server makes the menu items. It's possible to eat freshly made pancakes. You can choose regular size or small size, and you can add a topping to any pancakes. When I go to this cafe, I order regular size pancakes. I share the pancake with my friends. If you are alone, small size is good.

I went there these days and ordered 'ROSIE'S original' (Regular size 700 yen/Small size 600 yen) and orange juice. I waited for about ten minutes for my order. 'ROSIE'S original' (cream cheese and lemon and maple) is a recommendation on the set menu of the cafe. It's taste is plain and simple, but I like it.

There are many kinds of sweet pancakes. Moreover, there are not only sweet pancakes but also savory pancakes. For example, 'chili beans cheese', 'mushroom and tomato', 'tomato and avocado with sour onion sauce' and so on. I have not eaten savory pancakes yet, so I want to try them next time. All of them look so delicious. I like 'whipped banana chocolate' (Regular size 760 yen/Small size 670 yen) best of all. I often order it.

These pancakes are delicious but I recommend that you drink a 'milk shake' too. The  shakes are made from soft-cream. I feel the milk shakes are a little expensive, but they are so good. There are nine types of shakes. My favorite shake is 'deep mocha' (500 yen). It's not so sweet there is fresh cream on the shake. All shakes can be ordered for take-out.
 

The atmosphere at ROSIE'S cafe is good. This cafe has forty-three seats. You can't smoke there but you can relax and enjoy eating and it's easy for a single woman to enter there. Lunch time is crowded with women.

The location is on the fourth floor of Lazona Kawasaki Plaza at the west exit to JR Kawasaki Station. If you go to Lazona, please go to this cafe. When you have a spending hangover, I recommend there. I think you will like these pancakes.
