Today, I will introduce 'CAFFE VELOCE', it is a self service form of cafe. VELOCE in the store's name means 'fast' in Italian. You can receive the thing which you ordered immediately. This cafe has 181stores in Japan with the red building. There are many seats and two floors in this cafe. You can slowly relax if you are alone. And it is open for a long time, so you can go anytime easily. This cafe is cheaper than other cafes and taste is good. I often go there to study or have a light meal. I went to CAFFE VELOCE this week to have lunch with my friends. I ordered an egg sandwich (210 yen ) and ice caffe latte (230 yen). It was good, but I feel like the drink glasses are a little small. This cafe's menu is mainly coffee drinks, but there are many items on the menu. For example, there are cheesecake, sweet potato cake, chestnut cake, coffee jelly, egg sandwich, tuna sandwich, ham sandwich, potato vegetable sandwich, egg ham mixed sandwich, German sausage sandwich and so on. I ordered different items each time.

My favorite menu item is coffee jelly. The price is 300 yen. It's soft cream on coffee jelly, and it's delicious. The coffee jelly is a little bitter. If you think the coffee jelly is too bitter, you can put sugar syrup in the coffee jelly. But it is good to eat it with soft cream!

If you smoke cigarettes, there is a smoking section on the second floor. The second floor is divided into a smoking section and non-smoking seats.

It's location is near the Keikyu-Tsurumi Station. It take one or two minutes on foot from the station.

If you want to have a light meal, you should go to CAFFE VELOCE. It is conveniently near the station and the price is cheap.

First blog☆Zen-Cafe [禅カフェ]

Hi!! My name is Maya Suzuki. I live in Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan. I go to Tsurumi University. My favorite thing is eating. I often go to a restaurant or cafe to eat a good meal. Sometimes I go out in Tsurumi after school with my friends. On this blog, I want to introduce my favorite restaurants and cafes in Kanagawa area. Each blog post will tell about my favorite menu at the place I visit.

Today, I will introduce the cafe "Zen-Cafe". This cafe is in CIAL on the fifth floor. It's a traditional Japanese cafe with a tea-ceremony room. You can eat matcha sweets or have a meal that includes seasonal foods.
I went there with my friends. I ate a 'Matcha zukushi no kiwami parfait'. It was so good. The price was 1080 yen. I often go there and eat sweets, as they have varieties of sweets there. If you order sweets, you can choose the type of Japanese tea you want. There are various types of tea.

The most popular menu is 'Happou-gozen'. You can choose Osakana-gozen or Oniku-gozen. They serve only 15 meals per day. They look very good, but I haven't eaten a meal there yet.

I went to Zen-Cafe to try a Happou-gozen! I ordered Oniku-gozen. The price is 1080 yen. It was a vegetarian item and it was so good too. The taste was lightly seasoned.

Most main menu items are about 1,000 yen.

The atmosphere at Zen-Cafe is very good. You can relax and enjoy eating there. There are thirty seats in this cafe. Also, in this cafe, many events are held.

The location is on the fifth floor of CIAL at the East exit of Tsurumi Station.

If you are Tsurumi University student, you should show the server your identification card. Your meal will be a little cheaper.

If you like matcha, you should go to Zen-Cafe. There are many matcha sweets. I recommend 'Matcha zukusi no kiwami parfait' to you!
